Atlanta Motor Speedway Driving Schools

Racing fans that are looking for the ultimate driving experience should check out Atlanta Motor Speedway's Driving Schools. Several companies offer programs that will make participants feel like one of their favorite NASCAR drivers. Racing fans will have the chance to get out on the same 1.54 mile quad track as the racing professionals. Here are some of the companies that offer programs at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure offers a “Your Day at the Racetrack” program. The day begins with an orientation that covers hand signals, entering and exiting the track, proper driving lines, passing, and drafting. Drivers will be outfitted with flame retardant racing suits and helmets. An instructor will guide each participant onto the track as they work on accelerating, braking, and passing. Lap speeds can exceed 150 MPH. Upcoming dates at Atlanta Motor Speedway are June 23-24 and October 20-21.

The most popular program of the Richard Petty Driving Experience is the Rookie Experience. Course participants will receive a mechanical and safety orientation, followed by driving instruction. This program allows drivers to get 8 laps around the track. Another popular program is the Ride-Along Experience. Participants can enjoy the thrill of riding shotgun in a two seat NASCAR race car driven by a professional driver. The ride will be a 3 lap qualifying run at speeds up to 165 MPH. Upcoming Atlanta dates are July 12-15 and September 7-9.

The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience offers an authentic NASCAR experience. The company offers a Shotgun Ride-Along as well as racing courses similar to the other programs. The next dates for the Rusty Wallace programs at Atlanta Motor Speedway are August 18-19.
NASCAR Racing Experience offers drivers a three hour course with timed racing sessions. The program includes personal one-on-one training with a professional instructor. There is also a Ride-Along Experience for those that don't want to drive. Upcoming Atlanta dates are July 6-8 and September 29-30.

Atlanta Motor Speedway also hosts Speed Tech Auto Racing Schools. Their popular programs include “Rookie Rush,” which gives drivers 6-8 laps, and “The Qualifier,” an entry level 8 solo lap program. The next dates in Atlanta are August 3, 24, 25, and 26.

Fast Track High Performance Driving Schools are scheduled for August 11 and September 22. A popular program is the Thunder Course, with 1 driving segment. The Thunder and Lightning Course offers double the fun with 2 driving segments.
